Raised circular lesions

Raised circular lesions

My daughter 11 years old, has several round, slightly raised purple places on her legs. She has two very large ones that are about two inches around, and about five small ones that are about the size of a dime all over her legs.  We have taken her to the doctor and they don't know what they are, they ruled out ringworm.  She has a dermatologist appt. but it isn't for 2 months and I am worried. The places don't itch and aren't painfully when you push on them they turn white and then purple again. When she was 4 she had one one her foot and the doctor did a biopsy on it and said it wasn't cancerous that it would probably go away, which it did, But now she has 7 on her legs and we are worried.

To be honest, I don't know what your daughter has, though cancer certainly does not seem likely.  (After all, she had something similar 3 years ago . . .)

It's too bad you have to wait 2 months.  Isn't there another dermatologist in town?  Sometimes calling every day to see if there are any cancellations helps.

Before you have the visit, I'd advise getting a copy of the biopsy report from 3 years ago, so the consultation will be more productive.

Best.
