Random itchy patches

For the past month or so, I have been getting random itchy patches on my legs and feet. They come very suddenly, usually at night, and last for about 10-30 minutes, and there is occasionally redness or small raised bumps but sometimes, other than the itching, nothing seems to be wrong. At first I thought that it might be some sort of bug bite, but it is so inconsistent that I don't think that is the case. Some days it doesn't happen at all, and some days my entire leg feels itchy. Could it be an allergy? I do have pollen allergies...thanks!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like hives which come and go in response to an allergy. You can take some antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin. Although the rash may be itchy, avoid scratching it because you may damage the skin, and allow bacteria to get in, leading to infection. You may also need topical and oral steroids which are available under prescription. Also get your house cleaned thoroughly.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
