Random scars appearing on my inner thigh

I've noticed in the last few months, I have began developing random scar-like marks on my inner left thigh. I have no explanation for these scars, I've had no sexual partners in quite some time. At first, I thought nothing of them and figured they would heal on their own, but it has been almost 3 months and they actually appear to be growing larger. Currently, there are two marks, one about half an inch long, the other about 2 inches. They are roughly 2 inches apart. They have never bled or scabbed up or anything of the sort, they just look like scars. I can even feel a slight 'dip' in the level of my skin when moving my finger across the area. It is very strange. I know I'm going to a doctor for this very soon, but I wanted to prepare myself for the possibilites. Is there anything that could cause this?

ok well a month ago i wore pads during my period and it irrated my inner thighs next to the vagina and well ever since then the irratation marks looks like scars or marks ... they wont go away... but then again i dont know if it was there before then after i had intercourse with a different partner. but im more then likely its from the pad... also i get yeast infections alot does the symptoms have something to do with the rashed scars ? how do i get rid of it? and also what can i do to prevent getting yeast infections so much ? my partner doesnt like using condoms.

yes i hav a few of these "stretch" marks on my inner thighs too.  Got them in my mid to late twentes... they do fade to almost skin color but can still be seen.  I also did not have any weight gain when these marks started.

Itchyone sounds right--these do sound like striae, so-called "stretch marks."  These can come not just from obesity but from the use of steroid creams, or even from exercise.  Your doctor will be able to confirm this easily.  Redness fades to off-white, but these don't entirely disappear.

If this is just stretch marks, what can I do to make them any less sightly? One is not so noticable, the other is very dark... it's rather embarassing.

Nope, I have never used any steroid products. I am not a body build, but I am in very good shape. 22 years old, 6'1 170 pounds. I've been the same weight and height for the last 3 years or so.

Are you using and topical steriod creams? Long term use can cause these type of "scars" or stretch marks.

Just to add, the shape of both of the scars is pretty much a straight line, about 1/4 inch wide.

I can't do more than guess, but trauma of some kind would seem most likely.  Scratching?  Rubbing?  Doesn't sound sexual.  I advise leaving it alone and showing it to your doctor.  Marks like these can take months to fade, regardless of the cause.

Best.
