Rash - cannot be diagnosed

Rash - cannot be diagnosed

I have no idea what is going on with me. I had a rash (cluster of a few red dots) that started January 3rd on my ribcage and a few red bumps on my stomach. the bumps are not raised and only mildy itchy. Within the next week I had a red rash on my left and right groin which started with my hair follicles. I have no rash in my pubic region just the groin. the rash continued down my legs by not past the knee. I also then began noticing the red dots more on my stomach and chest. They have recently spread to my inside biceps and forearms of my left arm. I also have a small circular bump on the shaft of my penis, but I have been told it is nothing to worry about. I had blood work done in general and specifically for syphilis both coming back negative. This began when I slept with my dog who I am allergic to but I no longer am living with the dog. I also have been cleared of scabies and herpes. It really appears as thought the majority of the bumps start with my follicles. Also It must be contagious because my girlfriend had recently gotten a rash on her arms and glutes. Does anybody have any idea what this is? or what could be causing this?

(I also have no rash on my feet lower legs face or neck)

I would appreciate a response very much.

Thank you!

Hello,
It can be due to infected hair follicles or a viral rash. Keep the area clean and apply some warm compresses and topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
