Rash and discomfort on Penis

I was recently in the Caribean for an extended period of time and 1 month before I left I developed a rash on the tip of my penis.  It also caused some discomfort.  It does not itch.  I have no pain when urinating.  I have been to the doctor and have taken Ampicillin, metronidazole, Acyclovir, ketoconazole in that order.  I recently went to the Dermatoligist and he gave me Cloderm to apply to the infected area.  Now it is spreading down the penis.  I have also had tingling in my fingers and toes but I'm not sure if that is related.  I am also very sensitive to Poison Ivy.  Can you help me?

Appreciate your reply. Only other symptoms are that he has had this itching and red patchy skin for a week. All the small blisters formed one large blister.  The area affected is the glans.

A male friend of mine has a cluster of blisters on the shaft of his penis.  He thinks it may be poison ivy. His doctor prescribed Acyclovir.  Could this possibly be genital herpes?  No tests were done.

Hi,

It would be advisable if you could reconsult with your dermatologist about the persisting symptoms.

Nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions and a clinical examination.

This could be folliculitis, acne, pimples, fordyce spots, bacterial or fungal infection, dermatitis or genital warts.

Do you have any other associated symptoms?

Let us know about what your doctor advises and post us about any other doubts that you might have.

Regards.
