Rash for 5 months

Ive had a rash on the pubic area for about 5 months now. It dies down once in a while but then will come back within a few days. Its not itchy at all and it doesnt hurt. Often there will be what looks to be pimples on the infected area. They last for 2-3 days. Ive tried several things. Many creams, using moisturisers after I shower every day, soaking in warm water and many other things. Also I do shave my pubic area about once a week.

I cant say what it is for sure.  I know a lot about skin conditions (from personal experience), however im not a doctor.  I suffer from eczema and often have similar conditions from extensive workouts and activities.  It could be Tinea Cruris, yes.  However, the presense of pimples more likely describes folliculitis along with some possible fungal presence.  I would say to try the Lotrimin cream (for jock itch) and see how well that works.  If that fails, see your dermatologist.  He or she will prescribe you something more specific for your condition.

Sounds like folliculitis or possibly a fungal infection  (folliculitis is likely the cause if the pimples appear on the hair follicle).  There are many options for treatment that a doctor can prescribe.  Fungal creams, Steroid topicals, oral antibiotics, ect.  You have to let a doctor see what is causing the symptoms for proper treatment options.  PIMPLE LOOKING rash sounds like folliculitis, which can often be caused by friction and more often from shaving.  Try cleaning the effected area with a cleanser such as Hibiclens or anti-bacterial soaps.  You can try applying Bacitracin anti-bacterial ointment to the area.  If that doesnt work, it could be fungal caused and using an anti-fungal topical such as Lotrimin would do the trick.  More so, I would say you need to visit a gen practitioner so he or she can give you a more specific treatment option.
