Rash in between scrotum § anus

by cherno77, Oct 13, 2004 12:00AM
Hello,

For the past 2 months, I have had some rough skin in the area in between my scrotum and anus. Now, it looks reddish-purple and there is definitely some skin cracking going on.

Then, I started dating a girl and the problem has gotten worse and two things happened after our encounters.

I had sexual contact with her and I have not known her for a long time. The day after I kissed her (for the 2nd time heavily) I got a cold sore on my lip. We've had oral sex twice, but no intercourse. I got what looked like one small zit on the shaft of my penis, but it went away in 2 days.

I've gotten cold sores before and even zits on my penis while I was still a virgin. I don't know how concerned about these I should be.

It is just the coinciding and timing of it all. Even though I had the problem near my anus before we met, The problem in between my scrotum and anus has gotten worse since. I tried to use Anusol for two days and it made it even worse. I've tried Neosporin, and even Diaper rash cream all to no avail, though the Neosporin seems to sooth it the best.

My scrotum is clear of anything and my anus itself is fine.  I have had no problem with bowel movements or urination, in between the areas is a mess though.

Just wondering, what to do, I am a 27 year old single, athletically active guy

Rough skin in the area you describe is usually mild irritation or eczema.  Sex and athletic activity may aggravate it.  It doesn't sound as though you have an STD, but I think you ought to ask a doctor to take a look, so you can have the relief you deserve.

Best.
