Rash? irritation? red spot head penis

by HenkXx, Jul 20, 2009 02:16PM
Hello,

4 Weeks ago i washt my penis (under foreskin and head penis) with soap and rubt very hard and helt it under very hot water.
2 hours after i had a red spots on my glans (head) i thought it would go away the next 2 days (i already had this numbers of times but this time i rubt very hard).
But 2 weeks after there wass still redness and when i press the red area it blanches like the rest of my skin (normal color) so i went to the docter and he gave me Hydrocortisone creme wich helpt a bit (althought i dont think it helpt the skin needs to heal i think).
But when i mastrubate (2 or 3 times a day) or wash my penis after the redness comes back, but i have to mastrubate or ill get crazy.

now 4 weeks after i still have the redness that blanches when i press, is not itchy, not burning, not flaky, sometiems i bit dry.
i,m uncircumsized did not ever had unprotected sex and in perfect health

Will the redness ever go away and how long can it take?
Or is my skin just very thin and needs a long rest of friction and then would heal normally like the rest of my glans? i really hate this because i want to have a healthy looking penis althought docter says its nothing and alsoo sayt it barely is red, but in the morning after washing and after mastrubation its very red (only 1 spot).

Thanks in Advance
Henk.

To: HenkXx,
Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but this swelling can be due to friction rub or chaffing. Chafing is a continuous rubbing of the skin that causes redness or soreness.

Chafing occurs when the skin becomes irritated by the friction caused by rubbing – either against other skin or against a foreign material. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments.Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
