Rash on Anus

Rash on Anus

Let me start by saying that this has been going on for a year now.  I was in Vegas last may and from all the walking, sweating and such that goes on I started to really itch on my anus.  It got very intense and I even developed a rash that started to spread up towards my scrotum.  It never dawned on me that it could be jock itch so after seeing that red rash, I bought some jock itch and applied it.  Within a few days the rash was gone.  I applied the cream to my anus for a bit, which seemed to help.  For about a month before my trip to Vegas I started to workout, and being I'm a guy with a blessed hairy "rear"....I sweat pretty intense in that area.

Back to around January I developed what I thought to be a Hemorroid (felt a bump down there)....never did it bother me to go to the bathroom nor did I ever have a bloody stool.  I do, to this day occasionally get a smidge of blood from wiping, which I assume is from continuous wiping over the rash.  Again, still no problems while I go to the bathroom.

I did take a picture to see what was all going on back there and I would describe what I saw as just a red rash.  When I put on medicated powder or some cream, it doesn't itch/bother me.  However, I am planning on joining the military soon and I will have to go get a physical and they do look back there.  So, I want to clear this thing up ASAP so that I don't have to worry about failing my physical due to this rash.

Again, the rash is in my rectum.  Being I'm a hairy fella back there I'm hoping its just moisture getting trapped in there and such as I am very active through running/sports and such which is causing the itching.  If I don't have anything (powder, cream) applied for a long period of time the itching can get real intense.  I'd appreciate any help as I love this site!  Thanks to everyone who makes it a great one!

Hello,
Such an anal rash can be due to moisture due to sweating, constant abrasions due to sitting, friction rub, chaffing or fungal infections.Pls keep the area clean and wear cotton underwears. Also use Dustin powder or antifungal creams like Lotrimin,Canasten or clotrimazole. If the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist.

I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
