Penis pain. I've already received reassurance that this is unlikely to cause any STD, but I've had the following symptoms over the past 3-4 weeks.
Approx 5 days after the contact I developed irritation of the opening of the urethra. The opening was very sensitive to the touch and then it felt as if it got abraded on my boxers. During this time I was constantly examining and checking my

Ph urine test culture (all negative). They put me on a seven day course of CIpro for the possibility of a non STD related UTI. The symptoms, however, continued to wax and wane. The tip of the penis felt painful and the area just under the glans burned. after a few days, I thought things were getting better, but then they got worse. I tried to use lubriderm to protect and sooth the skin.
My primary care doc thought that the discomfort that I was having might have been from mechanical irritation of the area. Then over the past week the anterior surface of the penis just below the opening became more red and inflamed. There were still no vesicular lesions, but the texture of the skin changed from smooth to that of an orange peel. There were also some raised lines that developed. In addition the skin outlining the lower lip became even more darkened and looked as if it were bruised. Also, strangely, the pain feels better each morning then seems to peak at about 2-4pm each day. It then lessens into the evening. I called my primary care doc back. We thought that maybe I had a yeast infection. Five days ago he treated me with Diflucan. Things feel like they are slowly getting better Could this be a yeast infection? If so then should the Diflucan have eradicated the problem by now ? Do you have any other ideas of what it could be or what I should do?
