Rash on arms...HELP!!

My boyfriend is caucasion, 26 years old and has frequently been getting rashes up and dowm his entire arms. the rash looks like patches of white and pink spotted on the foremarms up to his shoulders. He has no itching or discomfort but it is happening whenever he says he's in the sun or working up a sweat exercising or working out. Does this sound like any well know rash? is it serious? It looks very weird and I haven't been able to find any pics of something similar to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

What you describe seems like sweat dermatitis or heat rash.
He should try to keep the area dry and clean. Try some powder to absorb the sweat.
If the symptoms are still persistent, consult a dermatologist and get a proper clinical evaluation done.
Meanwhile, he should avoid sun exposure and use a medicated sunscreen. Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions.
