Rash on bum

Hello. I have been to two doctors and both have diagnosed me with different things and neither of them has been correct and I can't take this any more! I started with a rash on the crack (sorry not sure what the terminology is) of my bum and my reg doc said it was a fungus, so gave me med and it did not help, on the contrary made it worst. I went to a dermatologist and she gave me something else saying it was an allergy and it was ok for a bit but never went away completely. There is no bumps, no odor, but it burns, it itches badly and at time sit feels as if my skin is being torn apart, now it was come down near the anus.

I just put on lanacane and it seems to be helping, just did it a few mins ago but it's still itchy and hurts, what do I do? who do I go to? I am at a lost and in serious pain, it's summer and the heat makes it worst! :( PLEASE HELP!

Hello,
From the symptoms ,it can be rash due to friction rub, contact dermatitis or sweat dermatitis.Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin.
For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).

If still the symptoms do not improve then pls get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist.Biopsy of the skin may be needed to confirm the diagnosis.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.

Most likely a seborrheic dermatitis.Hydrocortisone creme helps as a short course.
