Rash on butt

Rash on butt

Dr. About a month and a half ago I had sex about 7 times with an individual i did not know very well. A Couple of weeks later after the first contact I developed a rash on my butt. It looked like pimples ( 10- 12 of them) They are red and itchy and spaced anywhere from a few cm to a few inches apart. Some of them are very small like the size of the tip of a pencil and some of them are just a little smaller than the size of a pencil eraser. They do not seem fluid filled at all as they are flat and red in color. I have now had a second out break of this rash about a month after the first rash outbreak. My butt crack is also very irritated and red and itchybut has no bumps on it.  I have been to family planning and the dr says this is folliculitis. I just feel that there are an aweful lot of these pimple like bumps for it to be folliculitis. I am very concerned about herpes. A few weeks after the last time i had sex with this person, I did a blood test for herpes. type 1 igg came back positive and type 2 igg came back negative ( I know 2 weeks post expsoure was too soon to tell) and igm came back positive. I intend to be retested at 6 wks and 3 months. I am just worried until then. Thank you for your help
I have several questions for you
1. Does this rash on the butt sound like herpes
2. I  know you say that herpes come in clusters. these "pimples" on my butt are spread out all the middle of my butt and are spaced anywhere from inches apart from one another to centemeters apart from one another (usually 2 or 3 real close to eachother) Most of them are spread apart from eachother. Only a few are close together. Does this sound like the clusters you speek of?
3. Since my igm was positive does it mean i have type two or could it be a flare up from type one causing the igg to be positive?

This sounds like folliculitis.  it does not sound anything like herpes.  I don't know what the IgM means.  Please repeat the IgG test in a few months.

Thanks.
