Are there other symptoms present? This could be an irritation, allergic reaction, infection or other skin conditions such as eczema or pityriasis rosea. Pityriasis rosea is a scaly, reddish-pink skin rash. The cause of pityriasis rosea is uncertain, but is associated with viral or bacterial infection and certain medications. This rash usually goes away on its own. If pruritus is present, antihistamine or calamine lotion may help. If it persists, have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management. Direct clinical examination is important to determine the proper diagnosis.
Take care and keep us posted.
