Rash or something else?

I have noticed recently a few very small, slightly raised red dots on my chest and stomach. They're intensely itchy for an hour or so, and after a day or two they flatten out and become a kind of brown colour. They're not grouped close together. Any idea what it might be? Can I treat this myself or should I make an appointment with a doctor?

I have had pityriasis rosea in the past and this does not appear to be following that pattern. Not all of the spots are turning brown, most seem to just be disappearing on their own. Soap, water and sweat irritate them more. They are about the size of a small mole. One appeared on my shoulder and I squeezed it and a watery clear liquid came out. I don't know if these details are anymore helpful.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Form the symptoms it looks like pityriasis rosea. Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and itching. Topical and oral steroids are needed. Water, sweat, and soap may cause irritation and should be avoided in the disease. Topical zinc oxide and calamine lotion are useful for pruritus.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
