I have these little White Bumps on my Neck that look like little Zits, but they are not and sometimes I get a few on my face. When I try to pop them, they turn into red spots. I have gone to my Doctor already in regards to this and she gave me a prescription of cream to put on it and I have been doing that now for 3 weeks twice a day and they are still there. What do think it is or is there anything else I should do? I was thinking maybe I need to go see a Dermatologist, but really don't want to if I can prevent it.

Without examination,confirmation of a diagnosis is tough,but it sounds like folliculitis or infected hair follicles. Folliculitis is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles. Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful.In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.
