Hello,
If the spots have suddenly appeared then it may be due to an allergic reaction but other possibilities like viral rashes, fungal infection, hives, scabies, pityriasis rosea etc also need to be ruled out. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. If the symptoms persist then steroids may be needed. You have to consult a dermatologist in that case.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
has your 'rash' spread, or is it localized? did it start out as one 'red area' and then spread? are you allergic to anything, have you changed laundry soaps, bathing soaps, is the rash painful, or just 'itchy'? do the areas 'leak' and if so, what is the 'color' of the drainage? if there is 'drainage' does it have an odor? if so ,what is it...do you 'fake bake' if so, please stop, is the rash 'flaky with clear scaly flakes' could be psoriasis...and be aware of over the counter creams, many people develop a secondary infection that is directly related from the creams that they were using to try to rid themselves of the first 'issue', are you losing hair because of the 'lesions' that might be in your scalp. also does the 'rash' that you are experiencing have a 'pattern' to it...have you had the 'chicken pox' and if so was the case severe or mild...fevers, etc, i know what you are going through, and please do not let anyone call you a baby or try to minimize your symptoms of discomfort...like i had to endure...hope i helped you!!!! keep me posted!!!
