Rashes After Inguinal Hernia Surgery with Bard Mesh

i done inguinal hernia surgery 7 days ago with Bard Mesh, after 2 days of hospitalization, i got discharge from hospital.

Everything was normal, after 3 days of surgery, i found out that there is rashes with itching all over body.

When i approach with same problem to surgeon he advised me for tablet a day as this is kind of allergy, for first day tablet work properly.
On second day, rashes reoccurred in session of 12 hours.

And this is area of concern, when i search on internet, i found out that many people have suffered from this and unless and until mesh is not removed, rashes keeps occuring!!

Can u please suggest on this?

I had gallbladder removed and a hernia repaired on my belly button! I am in the same situation I have itchiness and rashes on my body!! Don't know if it's my hernia repair or the gallbladder removal. I have been on steroids, allergy meds and everything and none have really worked. Wish I knew which one is causing this!

Do you think that there could be an allergic reaction to the mesh?

I have just has abdominal hernia surgery repaired with mesh two week ago.

I also have had severe itching and a rash over my body after the surgery.  Have you found out what,ay be causing this?  I have a large suspicion that it is the mesh.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Sudden itchy rashes appearing all of a sudden are usually due to allergies.
First of all take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. Also consult a dermatologist as you may need topical as well as oral steroids. If the symptoms persist then an allergic reaction to the mesh can be thought of.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
