How is rosacea diagnosed?  I have very fair skin and I have some of the symptoms of roascea -- sort of on and off.  Also, my  understanding is that the treatment is antibiotics.  Is there a specific antibiotic (or group) used?  I am allergic to, or intolerant of, a lot of antibiotics.  Thank you.

I too have rosacea and am fair skinned. My dermatologist perscribed a cream(also available in gel form) to be applied twice daily. He also gave me a list of food that should be avoided(or at least eat spareingly) that is supected to aggravate the condition. I notice that I have flare ups whenever I don't follow his directions. For an example, I may go on a trip for several days and not take the cream and my rosacea will flare up on me.
Hope this helps some.
