Re: Tender bumps on scalp.

Ten days ago I noticed a bump on my scalp that was very tender. Since then two other bumps have appeared.  Now the bumps also have small puss pockets all over the top of each bump. On the sixth day following the discovery of these bumps I started a high fever and severe neck, back pain accompanied by a headache. The headache lasted for four days.  The back pain still exists and I am also fatigued. I at first suspected a spider or tick bite. However, I am uncertain. Help.

The first of August my son who is 12 years old (151 pounds) had a lump on his back which at first looked like a pimple. This was on his back for 3 days before he also complained of back pain and I noticed that their was a lump surrounding the pimple. I then took him to the emergency room and was told it was an abcess (abscess).  The doctor then gave him an antibotic (antibiotic) to take for ten days named Dicloxacillin to take 4 times a day and I was also told to keep a warm rag on the area.  He took the medicine for 2 days along with keeping the rag on the area before pus and blood started to come out of the blood. It was very excessive which took about another 3 days for it all to come out. It is now gone after 10 days. After this my 9 year old daughter received one on her leg right below her knee. It was very large and had swelled up. It was very difficult for her to walk also. I then took her to the emergency room and was told that it was a boil. I then explained to the doctor that my son also had one and was told that it was called an abcess (abscess). The doctor didn't seem to acknowledge that it was the same thing. She hinted towards cleaniless as to why this has occured. She was given antibotics also. After 3 days it left. the next day another one came right below the first one. this one then took 7 seven days to leave. It also was filled with pus an blood. Also within this time I received 7 small tender ones in the center of my scalp which was also filled with pus and blood. It was very painful and I had headaches along with it. I went to the emergency room also and was told that it was some type of follicle infection. I also gave the history of my 2 children receiving it and was told he did not understand or think it was the same thing. I was also given dicloxacillin for 10 days to take 4 times a day. After seven long days it left after releasing the blood and pus. I am writing because it is now returning to the same spot in my scalp.  I have taken all the antibotics. I do not understand what this is. Could you please help me? Could it be something that we are allergic to? Why are we all receiving something that has been diagnosed as three different things? What could I do to prevent it from coming back? Also during the week that I had the infection and my daughter had it I was visiting family in Richmond, VA. While we were watching t.v. I heard on the news that there was a report of people getting these abnormal pus bumps and they were giving them antibotics and researching if it was something they were allergic to. Have you heard anything about this?
