Red, Scaly patches on face, what is it??

I have patches of sclay skin about the size of a quarter on the left side of my chin.  I also have itchy patches areound both of my eyes.  I have tried an opthalmic ointment for the eye irritation, but it didn't work.  I have also tried using a psoriasis medicing on the scaly patches on my chin, but it doens't work.  I am currently trying to use pure cocoa butter lotion on my chin to see if it alleviates the patch, but so far, it isn't working.  As of right now, it is red, burning slightly, and everytime i remove the scaly skin, it comes back even worse, and gets redder.  Is there anything I can do??  I have an appoiintment to see a dermatologist, but it isn't for another two months, and this is driving me nuts.  What could it be?
