Red, itchy glans(glands)

Red, itchy glans(glands)

Dear Dr. Rockoff,

Six months ago, I had PROTECTED sex during a one-night stand. The condom DID NOT break. About a month after, I started to have had some kind of irritation just below my glans (glands). I am circumcized, but there is still some foreskin. There is one red, pimple like bump, very small, and does not change. There are also several very tiny white bumps that kind of go around the "ring" of the glans (glands). The skin sometimes looks red, dry and even cracked. The bumps do not grow, do not develop into ulcers, do not puss and have never crusted over. I have never had discharge from the urethra, and have no difficulty or pain when urinating or masterbating (masturbating). I have had some relief from clotrimazole, and even a mild steroid cream prescribed to my ex for hemmeroids, but the problem persists. I think the worst symptom is the constant worry. For whatever reason, I am scared to death to go to the doc. Coincidence? Yeast? STD? Eczema? Please help.

Yes, coincidence.  This sounds like irritation, nothing more, not yeast or an STD.  Please do yourself a favor and see a doctor.  There's no need to be scared--that's what we do.  Once you get a definite diagnosis and proper treatment, you'll be fine, so you can stop worrying.

Best.
