Red, non itchy/burning scrotum

For a whie now (months) I have had a redness about my scrotum and it seems to be isolated jsut there.  It does not itch irregularly or burn or peel or anything like that, but it is simply abnormally red and there is a defined line between the red scrotum and regular other skin.  I visited a dermatologist twice and he prescribed steroid creams both times.  They did nothing for me.
I looked up some possibilities online but i found none that really fit.
My girlfriend visited the doctor because she had issues with yeast infections and that doctor (I believe he/she was a GP) said that I had most likely contracted a yeast infectino from her.
But as mentioned before, the redness is confined to my scrotum, i don't itch/burn.
The only occasional look of it looking over-wrinkly (it has been so long i'm not sure what is normal)

Bro I do have red scrotum skin from 2 days, let me be frank I applied some turmeric for some area on thighs which were turning pink and those turmeric got spread to my scrotum while doing things. I am really scared how to get rid off it.neither it itches nor it's painful but when I look at it, I feel anxious. Dermatologist normally prescribe medicines which I hardly rely on as their consumption weakens me on the next day. Please suggest me if you have got ward off it. My mail id is prasad.***@****

I have this same problem for years I'm about to get tested for stds and ask my gp because I don't know where else to turn I've been to two different dermatologists years ago and all they do is prescribe creams that don't work.

Strange problem I don't believe it's an std since I have no symptoms other then redness. Is it possible that this is a yeast infection that keeps spreading from your partner in a relationship back in forth? I've been in the same relationship for about 7 years

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be dermatitis or chafing of the skin. Yeast infection or fungal infection of the skin is itchy and contagious. It can be a possibility of the rash is itchy.
Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion or mild steroid cream on the rash. If the symptoms are severe then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist. Also wear cotton undergarments.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

i went to the dermatologist yesterday and he took a look at it.  He says it is similar to a form of exzema that usually occurs in a bit older men.  For my case, where i have no itchyness/burn/ect. he said that it is nothing to worry about, i just have to deal with red balls basically.
He used the phrase "If it isn't broke, don't fix it."
So settling neews to an extent that it is not contagious or anything of that nature.

Note: i am not saying all red scrotum issues are benine, but in my case that seems to be how it is

Yeah man, I know exactly what you're going through. I have the same problem, and just like you, I'm seeking the diagnosis, because I've asked my good friends if they have my symptoms, they all say no, you should get that checked out. I believe I've narrowed the condition to only a few possibilities- Jock Itch (a form of ringworm), BXO (look further into this), or Athlete's foot. I have had this happening to me for over three years now, and I keep thinking that eventually it will wear off, it doesn't. I shower every day, and wear a clean pair of clothes and cotton boxers everyday, which are good things to do for this by the way, but nothing seems to work. I sweat a lot in my groin area, and sweat a lot in general, but am always practicing good hygiene- What the f*** is wrong with me? So I delved further into the problem. Try cutting down on your sugar intake, and it could even be the amount or type of soap you're applying to the area. I've heard many suggestions not to use soaps with a strong scent to them (Like Axe Shower Gel). Even doing an excess amount of scrubbing to the area can worsen the condition. So to sum this giant pile of information up- Shower at LEAST everyday, change your clothes (wash after each use), try to not have as much sugar in your diet, even if you have a high metabolism, look up the possible conditions, look at some of the yeast infection, jock itch, and athlete's foot medications (over the counter or not), and continue to search for the answer. Good luck bud. If you have any questions, or need further information from me, I'd be happy to help you out. My e-mail is ***@**** if you want to reach me. Best regards and best of luck,
-Tucker
