Red, raw skin not healing on side of lip - help!!!!!

A few months ago I had a pimple flare up on the side of my lip between my upper and lower lip.  It has taken months to fully heal as the scab kept breaking and bleeding.  Most of the dried scab has cleared, however the skin is now pink/red and it appears to not have healed properly.  It's almost as if it's heavy scarring/abnormal skin growth.  Is there anything I can put on it to speed up the overall healing process? I've been dealing with this issue since May! It's extremely frustrating and the overall issues has made me extremely self conscious to even smile.  Please help!
