Red Areas on Penis

Red Areas on Penis

For the past few months I have had red areas on my penis.  There are three in total, one on the bottom side of the shaft, one on the middle right side of my shaft, and the third on the top right side and partly on the head right side of my penis.  They are flat and pretty much smooth, not flakey, but are noticeably red and haven't gone away.  I've tried putting aquaphor on it which helped somewhat but it hasn't gone away.  The areas do not hurt and are not itchy, but are very noticable and have been stressing me out a great deal.  I am confident it is not an STD but would like to know how to get rid of it.  Have been with 2 girls in the past, the first I used protection with while the second I dated for a year and just used birth control.  She is STD free, however, and we've had sex unprotected while I've had this.  It's almost like dry skin but it doesn't really flake at all.

Please Help!!

Hello,
These red areas can be due to lichen planus. It is an inflammatory disease that affects the skin and the oral mucosa, and presents itself in the form of papules(flat spots) or rashes. It is an itchy papular eruption characterized by its violaceous color
Treatment is available only on prescription and consists mainly of steroids, retinoids, hydroquinone and phototherapy.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
