Red-Black Rash folds of penis & on glans(glands)

Saturday evening September 13th, I began getting a red rash on the spongy area of my glans (glands). I have had this before (like a year ago) and my applying Mupirocin 2% cream on it tid made it go away. I mastubate using lubricans abouit once a day and don't know if this contributed to it. I also use a hot tub but the pH and chemicals are always up to value and I doubt this would cause this because I use this almost every night without any effect. This time though yesterday September 12th, the red area on top of my glans (glands) start to slough off a bit (about the size of a pea) exposing the underlying skin (dermis?) It was a bit painful. The area in the folds is back to its usual red black rash looking like and I, as I said, have applied and will continue to apply the Mupirocin 2% cream tid for about 7 days. It normally takes about 7 days to go away. I have also purchased a tube of Nystatin Cream and can apply this if you think this might help??? Let me know what you think. I do have an appointment with a dermatologist friend of mine in about 8 days.

This sounds more like irritation than infection (Mupirocin) or yeast (Nystatin.)  I suggest you minimize friction and use over-the-counter 1% hydrocortisone till you see your friend.
