I've had a red blotch on my skin for 11 years. I think it came about the time I had a basic STD. I've had checks done at the doctors and I don't have cancer. I also don't have any STD's. Sometimes it's itchy and flares up. Could it be the original STD that's just hibernating? I'd add a picture but all the ones I've taken are awful.
Hello,
You have not mentioned the site but if it has persisted on the genitalia for years then chronic diseases like eczema and psoriasis also need to be ruled out. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction
and faeces of some animals (dust mites).
Please get a biopsy skin done from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
