Red Bump On Penile Shaft??

OK so theres this red bump on the shaft of my penis few centimeters above where the pubic hair begins to grow and it was almost like a pimple but that is gone so now its just a red bump about 3 mm big and a few tiny white little bumps close to it. I am a virgin, 15 , but masturbate almost everyday, and this occurred about a day after i masturbated so I'm thinking its something to do with the constant friction, Oh and i shave my pubic hairs occasionally? It hasn't spread at all and hasn't been itchy or painful, but it was a bit uncomfortable when the pimple was there. Its been about a week since this occurred but whats going on??? Hope you can help...=/

From the symptoms it looks like an infected hair follicle. Folliculitis starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. In most cases of folliculitis, the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph).

Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. Also the get the other possibilities of cysts, molluscum and warts ruled out.
