Red Bump on Groin

I have had a red bump on the right side of my groin for about 4-6 days.  It comes and goes as it pleases.  A while ago (maybe 2 weeks max) I found a bump under my arm.  I also have the somewhat same large bump in the center of my chest that comes and goes.  I tried once pulling all the hairs out but my dermatologist said not to do that.  I am concerned I may have acne inversa because these large bumps (maybe quarter size) keep coming back to the same spot!  I probably get the same bump on my groin once every two months and I get the one on my chest once a month maybe.  I have had the one on my chest injected yet it still comes back.  I believe I have acne inversa because I smoke, had a pilonidal cyst, and am overweight.  What does it sound like to you?  The bump is tender and painful and seems to be filled with something.  Also feels somewhat deep.
