Red Bumps on Back, Chest, Inner Thigh and Penis Areas

I am a divorced man that has just started dating a new person recently. I noticed red bumps on my back, chest, inner thighs and have maybe 5 bumps on the penis shaft. I noticed these bumps before dating this new person and thought it was just a heat rash of some sort as i work in a place that I have to wear layers on shirts as it is very cold. The rash on my back and chest is getting worse and I went to a walk in doctor who looked at the bumps on my penis shaft for maybe 10 seconds. He did not examine them closely or even look at the rash on the rest of my body. He said it looked like genital warts and prescribed me a cream. I am so stressed out that I cannot sleep, eat or even process that It might be this condition. It just doesnt make sense to me as I have never slept around. I am now also so stressed that I may have passed this on to my date as we had sex 1 time. How can it be genital warts if it is worse on the rest of my body? To me it seems to be in the areas that I sweat most. Can somebody help me as I am at my wits end and now am considering not dating anymore as I am afraid that I may spread something to an innocent person.
