Red Bumps on Penile Shaft! HELP

Red Bumps on Penile Shaft! HELP

About 3.5 weeks ago I found 3 red bumps under the head of my penis while masturbating.  They were felt scaly, like the skin had dried or there was dried fluid there.  I made sure to watch them closely and clean them often for the next week, they did not get worse.  about 2.5 weeks ago, i noticed 3 more bumps on the shaft of my penis, the same size (about 1mm) as the ones still under the head of my penis.  I began to research what it could be.  I play collegiate football and thought maybe it could be a fungus from the locker room or maybe a yeast infection.  There is no rash, just bumps.  10 days ago I began putting antifungal cream on my entire penis, twice per day.  Since then one new bump has appeared on the left side of my penis shaft.  The antifungal cream does not seem to be having an effect on the bumps, but they are not getting bigger.  The bumps do not itch, do not have puss or blood, and have no rash around them.  They are light red in color.  I have a total of 3 bumps under my penis head (the glans (glands) I believe), 3 on the right side of my penis shaft, and 1 on the left side.  From a sexual stand point, I have been with the same girl for 4 years and have engaged in unprotected sex from time to time.  Any idea on what this could be?

Hello,
There can be many possibilities for such bumps. It can be contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub, folliculitis, cysts ,molluscum contagiosum(multiple, small, dome-shaped papules, often with a central depression or plug) or genital warts(caused by HPV infection).

Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You  can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lumps persist then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thanks for the response, ill try the warm compress and calamine/neosporin.  In the last week and a half I have stopped using the antifungal cream and switched to regular vaseline hand lotion twice per day.  This seemed to help at first and some of the bumps go away.  If I have sex (with a condom, only done twice since I've had these bumps) and masturbate (again minimal over the month I've had these) they I get new bumps.  I've noticed probably 5 bumps disappear and another 5 re-appear in close to the same spots.  Today I'll start what you've recommended.  I hope what I've just told you can help with some sort of diagnosis.  Thanks for the response Dr.
