Red Burning Skin

Red Burning Skin

My groin area has become red and hot, sometimes itchy. This occured after i had spent a long time not bathing/showering. There is no scally texture or bumps, and flaking only occured until i peeled it off once. i have tried using tea tree cream antiseptic for the tea tree cream but it made the area redder and hotter......... uh... plus when i number 2 it hurts and bleeds a bit afterwards, its hottest there so i thing the rashor watever is there too. what do u think it is and what should i do?

Welcome to the Dermatology Expert Forum!

Based on the information you provided, it is quite possible that, in those areas exposed to friction and increased sweating, you have developed a fungal/yeast infection.
In such a case, proper hygiene is very important, so is wearing clean underwear made of cotton. High temperatures and intense physical activity may worsen the situation. Applying antifungal creams on clean and dry skin twice a day should be beneficial.

I started using unti dandruft shampoo and i think its helping, either that or the showers but its not hot anymore and the redness has toned down to a kinda brownish red. its still the same size though.

the redness near the legs has gone down to a light brown, but the testicals and around the butt area are still red, but not hot or itchy anymore.

What should I do?
