Red Mark

For years, I have had this mark that comes and goes under my lip. It never fully goes away, but when it gets smaller turns brown/grey. When it spreads it becomes red or pink. It's smaller then a quarter, but now it is starting to spread out even more. Can anyone help and tell me what it is?

For such symptoms, dermatitis skin should be ruled out. A mild soap or soap substitute, such as Dove or Cetaphil should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided.
If the symptoms persist then get it checked from a dermatologist.
