Hi, Thanks Doc,
I totally agree...But
Why evrybody just talks about herpes.?
These symptoms may be due to some other infection. Why don't you tell me that one.
I am uncircumcised and it may be due to dat extra force applied on my penis which resulted in this damage.
Please tell me...
Red dots of any infection when heals it leaves small cut like ulcer or it is only herpes?
These medicines which my doc prescribed is working and it has healed the tiny dots on my glans.
Still should i think i have somethg else.. ????
thanks & regards
Hello,
The medicines which you have been prescribed are antibiotics and topical antifungal and they are used for bacterial infections like folliculitis and fungal infections. You cannot get antiviral drugs over the counter and moreover it is advisable to use them under a dermatologist’s prescription. Regarding herpes, most individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
From the symptoms although it looks like folliculitis but the possibility of molluscum lesions, herpes sores( if they turn into blisters) and genital warts cannot be ignored.
Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. Keep on taking the anti-inflammatory. But if the symptoms persist or worsen then please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
