Red/Pink rash on my neck and upper chest that doesnt itch

i am a 17 year old male and I have like a red/pink rash on my neck and upper chest that doesnt itch or bother me in any way...they start out as little dots then they turn into little red lumps that u can hardly feel,.they just look light red, then they start to turn pink and look like they are starting to go away, the rashes look like they are goin to peel and they have like dead skin. i started usin benadryl and it looks like it started to work but now i woke up and i have a new red dot were one of the other rash was goin away...i've been having this for like a week now and i dont know what this is or how to treat it. i never had any type of rashes my whole life.and i really need to find out what this is.

The symptoms are suggestive of pityriasis rosea. It presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. In most cases it is self limiting and no treatment is required. Topical and oral steroids are needed. Water, sweat, and soap may cause irritation and should be avoided in the disease. Topical zinc oxide and calamine lotion are useful if there is any itching.
