The burning is on the inside.
Hi.
If this burning sensation is noted on the surface of the glans and not associated with urination , then this may be due to the skin condition and is fairly superficial in nature. However , if the burning sensation is noted during or at the end of urination, then this may be something that you want to have your physician evaluate further.
Continue to observe this condition. At this point, this may not require an urgent intervention. A repeat urinalysis may be done just to rule out an underlying urinary tract infection.
Would the burning also be due to dermatitis?
Hi.
Based on your earlier post, it seems that you have been thoroughly assessed by your doctors. A urinary tract infection was most likely excluded or ruled out. You have also noted that the skin condition seems to be aggravated post ejaculation. One likely diagnosis for this is a dermatitis. This has been present for a year. It is intermittent which means it is not something which is persistent and progressing. I am not so worried about this from the way you describe it. Just wash the area with a mild and bland cleanser thoroughly after urination and sexual activity. Continue to observe your skin condition and note for any pain, swelling and discharge which may indicate further evaluation.
The condition has remained pretty much unchanged for almost a year now. Like I said it comes and goes. At times it may not be readily apparent to someone else who is not me. Sometimes I do have abdominal pain. There are no swollen lymph nodes that I can tell.
Hi.
I understand that this may be frustrating for you. During your consults however, your doctor may not find something remarkable which may indicate further management or intervention. I do not think this is something infectious since this has been present for months already and there seems to be no progression in the presentation of the disease (is this correct?). Thus, I suggest that you continue to observe the skin condition. This may be superficial skin reaction. It may be a mild form of balanitis. However, do refrain from applying any creams or lotions in the area as this may only aggravate the condition.
Do you have any abdominal pain?
Any swollen lymph node in certain parts of the body?
