Red area on penis

by jayman1ppu, Jun 19, 2009 06:09PM
Now as far as I can remember, I've never had anything like this before. Last night after masturbating, I found a noticable red area. It is right along the point where the shaft meets the head. As far as I can tell, it doesn't seem to be raised or have any bumps or anything, just a color change with a little white outline almost like after somebody gets cut or burned. It is not painful. One of the best ways I can think of to describe it would be what it might look like from a distance is if I had recieved oral sex from a girl with lipstick on and a little rubbed off on my penis.

I can send a few pictures I've taken (I'm a photogrpaher) if that may make things easier.

Now, I have had similar things pop up on my right had from time to time. Just in case that may play a factor here.

I don't see how it could be STD related becuase I haven't had any exposures to STDs since my last test in April which came back negative across the board. And other than hand to genital contact, I haven't done much of anything in the last 3 years.

Sometimes when I masturbate I use my siliva as a lubricant. I don't know if that could be an issue at all. I have been sick lately - with a cold or sinus issue, and have done this while sick.

I guess my question is, does this sort of thing sound like anything problematic or do you think it might just be a typical issue? Any reccomendations here?

I'm leaving for a 10 day vacation tomorrow and I'm hoping it's not something I have to worry about the whole time i'm supposed to be relaxing.

I just got your post today, so I apologize for the delay in answering.  My answer is that this sounds like mild irritation, about which you should do nothing.  It should go away on its own.  If it's still there in a month, you can show it to a doctor.

Best.
