by shelby19, Jun 09, 2008 12:13AM
I just want to know why when I take my 7 1/2 month old baby outside with sun screen and hat on she get's red blotch's around her eyes and on her cheeks. If she wear's her sunglasses it does not happen, but she doesn't alway's keep them on. Why is this happening?

Hi,
She probably gets sun burns when she is exposed to sun.A sunburn is a burn to living tissue such as skin produced by overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, commonly from the sun's rays.
People with particular skin types are more sensitive to sunburn.
The only cure for sunburn is slow healing, although some skin creams can help with the symptoms.
Make sure she always has a hat on and sunscreen and glasses.
Prevention is the only cure.

Yes she alway's does wear a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. But what I for got to mention is that as soon as we come inside the red blotches go away with in 5 mins. So what could that be?
