Red bumps on face

About 5 months ago I changed face creams.  Shortly after the change I noticed a number of red bumps appear on my lower cheeks.  I attributed it to the cream and stopped using it.  However the bumps have yet to go away completely.  The red bumps only remain for several hours. Since then the bumps have spread down my neck and onto my chest.  The bumps usually flare up after washing my face, however I have been using the same face wash for the past two years.  The bumps are not itchy, nor are they filled with pus.

It can be due to contact dermatitis to the face wash that is causing flare up of folliculitis. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist in that case.
