Red bumps on knee for over a year

I have had these red spots on my knee for a long time.  I cannot remember exactly how long but it has been over a year.  I thought it would go away.  It has not.  Theres is intense itching for short periods of time every once in a while, but i think this is caused from sweat.  The scabs are from me itching.  This is only on my right knee and no where else.  It does not get get too much better or worse then this.  I put alcohol on my knee to clean it.  I have used neosporin, which seems to only help get rid of the scabs and i have use benadryl itch stopping cream.

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to dermatitis skin, sweat dermatitis or heat rash. Use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort. For the itching antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin can be taken.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
