Red itchy bumps on my cheeks

On my face just around my facial hair line I have a rash. It is red and slightly raised. My doctor asked me not to shave and put me on one week of antibiotics. I finished the week and my rash spread a little and now I cant tell if the itching is from my facial hair or the rash which did not itch this bad prevously. I called my doctor back and have been led on a phone tag game, also I should mention that this rash has been with me for roughly 30 days. any help would be great! oh original diagnosis from doctor was bacterial infection from my razor blade.
