Red mark on Abdomen

Hello,

About six months ago I got a raised red mark that looked like a ingrown pimple to me.  So, I squeezed it and got some puss out of it.  But, the center of it would not go away. So, one day I popped it and clear fluid shot about a foot into the air.  

After that I pretty much left it alone, but the red mark is still there, and a very slight bump as well. It's both a health and cosmetic concern to me at this point.

There is a pore right in the center of it. So, I think it might be an ingrown hair, but it doesn't hurt or get irritated at all.  Also, it may be dermafibroma or Keratoacanthomas .. maybe. I did some research, and couldn't really come to a conclusion, so I signed up here.

I have an appiontement to get it looked at by a dermatologist, but have to wait until March.

It can be due to a sebaceous cyst. A sebaceous cyst is a closed sac occurring just under the skin which contains a "pasty" or "cheesy" looking substance called keratin.They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts.

Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected,Then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.
