Red nose - is it rosacea?

Red nose - is it rosacea?

Hi

I get a really red nose.  It is just the end of my nose (although I have quite a pinkish complexion).  It is a really contrast to the rest of my face and it impossible to hide with foundation.  Occasionally I get outbreaks of little white spots that pop easily and can get very sore.  At the moment the skin on my nose is so dry and flaky that concealer looks awful.  People comment on it and it is really getting me down, but it is on such a small area that I feel a bit silly going to my doctor about it.  Any ideas what it might be?  Does it sound like rosacea?

Thanks

Laura

Hello,
From the symptoms that you have described, rosacea is the first possibility that comes to mind. Rosacea is a cutaneous disorder of the central part of the face , such as forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. Pimples or acne are sometimes included as part of the definition.
I suggest to get it examined from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
