Red patch on skin, please help!

Hi. I have this weird red patch on my skin where my leg connects to my pubic area. It's been there for ~ 1 month i think. It does not hurt, itch or something. It's flat. It seems like the skin there is peeling on the area of the spot / out of the spot (i don't know which is it).

What this can be? Something serious? I don't take any medications. I practice sports.

Then to rest your mind make an app with the doc. Its always good to have a check up once in a while. Since there is a family history would be a good idea but i would bet the bank its no big deal.
Dont fear life no matter what comes your way. Things we experience in life are meerly signs that we are alive. The day we dont expericnce things either good or bad means we are no longer here.
Your just fine

Yes, that is why it popped into my head.  But it also looks like it may be ring worm which is a fungal infection.

So best to see your doctor and get it checked out.

Best wishes.

My 9 year old granddaughter was diagnosed as having Pityriasis.  The doctor did not prescribe anything for this and said it would go away.

She had quite a few splotches over her back.  Eventually, they did fade away and she has not had any since.  She is 15 now.

stop searching the internet. Stress and anxiety can lead to all kinds of images of what you think you have. Like i said, its always good to get a check up and this is the perfect opportunity to make one. Once a year you need a good going over by the doctor

I have looked at your photo and it looks to me like it is a fungal infection.
Because it looks like a ring with a lighter centre, this may be ring worm or pitiryosis or a different skin condition.

If you haven't been to see your doctor, then I suggest you go and see him. The doctor will be able to identify the problem and if he feels that this is a fungal infection, will be able to prescribe an antifungal cream to treat it.

It is best to get these things sorted out when it is small rather than wait for it to spread and increase.  You have had it a month now so make an appointment with your doctor and get the right medication.

Best wishes.

I found something similar on the web called "Pityriasis rosea" but my "spot" does not itch...

I hope you are probably right. I play football and tennis, and workout in the gym every other day. I am on high carbohydrate diet and i mostly eat meat (as source of protein) , vegetables, apples, bread, rice, potatoes etc. In fact i recalled i didn't had it before, so it's from a month or two - the days got hotter, and as i worked out, the sweat was all over me. I hope this is the cause of this.

Your young and sports active. Rubbing sweaty shorts on skin can cause these things. And then we scratch the area when we are sleeping with dirty fingernails and it doesnt heal properly.

Thats way we are going to see the doctor right? To answer these questions. We cant diagnose here but it seems very similar to my cronic dermatitus.

Thanks! In addition i am 23 years old, i don't recall that i had any serious conditions. I try to leave healthy as i do sports, eat healthy, keep my mind busy and avoid stress. The only thing that causes me stress is my fear of deseases. So when i spot something that i didn't had before, i start wondering what it might be.
Your opinion is that this isn't something serious right? But the only question left is why it does not fade away?

Sorry to say that but recently my uncle passed away from cancer and as i saw his condition i was terrified. Since then i have constant fear of cancer. And i am wondering what this could be, that stays always red, always the same and is asympthomatic. Honestly i don't recall if i had it before, but i spotted it 1 month ago and it does not go away or change.

But if you overly worried, best to see a doctor to rest your mind. Unnessary stress is not worth it.

It looks like what i had dermatitus. Why do you think this is so serious like cancer? Melinoma is when you get skin cancer from uv rays.

Thanks for the answer.
I know for sure that you can't diagnose me via the internet.
But the most important thing i need to know and i think that you can tell from the photos - is this looks like something serious? Cancer etc?

Hi and welcome. You mention your in sports. We cant diagnose here but i have had similar and turned out to be dermatitus.Could have started off as a friction irritation from sports, like a rubbing from cloths and laundry detergent or softerner inflamed it more.
