Red patches/Spots on left fore-arm,bicep,chest

hello there my name is elvir i am 18 and i am looking for help. I had alergies (allergies) to poison oak and poison ivy as my dermotologist said. But in the year or so i havent been getting the out break when i go fishing or hunting but i noticed some dark redish  patches on myleft fore arm and on the upper muscles of the arm and on my chest they show more when i sweat and when i take showers also they show more when i get cold. my doctor said its some veins or clogged veins or something like that and he tried treating with laser but that didnt help at all. any help would be appreciated i can provide pictures of what this looks like it doesnt like itch me or hurt or anything it just looks ugly  and i wanna get rid of it

Hi,

You could take some oral antihistamine or antiallergic medications like loratadine or cetrizine and see if it helps with your symptoms. Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions to help with your symptoms.

Have you had allergic reactions in the past? Are you allergic to any specific substances?

You would still need to consult your doctor about the associated symptoms you are having and to rule out any sweat dermatitis or cold urticaria or vitamin or mineral deficiency or bacterial or fungal infection or insect bite and whether you need a course of antibiotics or other medications.

Let us know about how you are doing and post us about what your doctor advises.

Regards.

sounds like what i had. it's called Tinea Veriscolor. it's a fungus that loves sweat and dead skin. what took care of it good and well for me was instead of using body wash when I showered, use NIZORAL. its an anti dandruff shampoo you get get at like walmart or pretty much anywhere.

I get red itchy spots after a shower or bath.... They look like tin y white bites after a bit and then go away a few minutes later. Only after a shower or bath or if I am swearing badly. This has been persistant for nearly 10 years. Really it is a huge nuisance to me and I look silly after the shower. My kids laugh at me but it really itches. Could this have anything at all to do with a water softner, to much or to little salt in it maybe? Plaese let me know.
