Red sore on penis.

I have this sore on my penis shaft right below the head, it appeared all of the sudden the other day when I woke up for a nap. It has been about 3 days and there is no change to it. It is red, either flat or slightly raised. It can be slightly moist on the spot most of the time. It is slightly uncomfortable at times(mainly when sleeping) but most of the time don't feel it much. It is not firm. The picture attached make it more red than it seems and it is a little less than a half inch wide. There is only one sore. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I am currently uninsured and can't afford a visit at the moment. I am 22 years old, and have had sex only once in the past 6 months.

It is likely friction burn, either from rough hands or maybe from running in the wrong underwear.  Get sports underwear like Under Armour and try clear 100% aloe vera to heal it.

A health clinic is where you would go to get checked for that, and they are very affordable.  It's just a blood test.  Don't go to your PCP for this - it's a clinic that does it routinely.  You can call and ask about cost, but it won't be much.

Thank you for the reply. Yeah I hope that is what it is as well. From everything I have been reading it could be that. But it seems like it could be a syphilis sore as well. Perhaps I am just over worrying but unfortunately atm I can't go in to get checked for that currently for lack of funds. I am mainly concerned because it is constantly moist like its trying to scab but wont. No scabbing at all except when the clear fluid dries around the wound.
