Red spot on my arm that won't go away

Good day,

There has been this red bump on my arm (around the bicep) for around 2 weeks that measures ~7mm in diameter and causes a red colouration of about 23mm on the skin around it. It seems to have a small white spot in the centre to which I thought could be a pimple, but after scratching it and removing it with a pair of tweezers, another one grew in its place.

Please tell me what could be the possible problems and how I could try to get rid of it as it is unsightly!

Hello,
It can be a boil or a sebaceous cyst. Apply warm compresses on the boil and keep the area clean. Drainage is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription. Till that time, you can apply topical antibiotic like Neosporin on the bump.

If the symptoms persist please consult a dermatologist for the confirmatory diagnosis and treatment.
