Red spot on the head of penis

Hi,
There is a problem that is concerning me a lot. It's been a while since I've been with a girl so I know its not sexual transmitted disease. I have a red spot on my penis and I think it is caused by masturbation. I used facial cream to masturbate and I think maybe that caused the problem. I upload a photo (just the spot) of the spot to make it absolutely clear. Also I should mention that a similar spot appeared on my penis a few days ago and disappeared after 4 or 5 days and when it happened again, it made me worry a little.

Thanks for the help.

Hello,
For this red spot, try the treatment mentioned above and hopefully it should go away. If the symptoms persist then please get an evaluation done by a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing

Thanks for the answer and sorry for my late reply. I'm actually doing better now. But it's not completely gone. How long you think it should take for it to completely heal? Just for the record, I'm just keeping it clean and dry and nothing else.

Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub with clothes, dermatitis (atopic, contact, allergic),excessive sweating causing sweat dermatitis or balanitis(due to an underlying infection (bacterial and fungal as well as other organisms) .

You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. You can also use calamine lotion and get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
