Red spots from tanning?

Red spots from tanning?

I had to go tanning for a musical I was in, and i noticed a red spot on my nose. I thought it was just a pimple so i let it go. But That was back around November in the late teens and it's now December 17.
It's a circular red spot, it's not squeezable like a pimple and there don't seem to be any black heads near it. I was thinking it was a sun spot maybe? Any ideas?

Did you use a solarium? These have high risks involved with getting skin cancers. You really should go to your doctor and get it looked at.
It may be a 'blind pimple' and nothing to worry about. Your doctor will not think you silly if it turns out to be just that. In fact they get angry at the people who leave it too late to do anything!

I have had several pre-cancerous moles taken off, and my grand mother died of skin cancer so I am VERY well read about it!

A solarium? I'm not sure what that is. The tanning saloon i go to uses UV beds. i didn't use any lotion or anything. it seems like it's been getting slightly poofy.  I've been using lots of different washes and masks but nothing seems to help. it's just the same. i asked my mom if she thought it looked different, because i thought it looked like it was getting bigger, but maybe i'm just being paranoid.

Hello,
It is very difficult confirming a diagnosis without examination but it can be verruca vulgaris( common wart) or actinic keratosis(small, rough spot occurring on skin that has been chronically exposed to the sun).

Cutaneous viral warts are discrete benign epithelial proliferations caused by the human papillomavirus. Treatment includes salicyclic acid application, curettage and silver nitrate pencils and glutaraldehyde and formaldehyde preparations.

I feel that you should consult a dermatologist and discuss these two possibilities with him. I hope it helps. Take care and God bless.
