Red spots on back, arms

Hi,

21yo male, no known health problems. About a week ago I noticed red 'spots' on my lower shoulders, which have now multiplied and spread. Now have perhaps 30 each side of my back, with some down my arms and a few appearing on my chest.

They vary in size from a couple of mm to 1cm accross, though there is one much larger on either side of my back, maybe 2cm.

The spots are a dark red colour and are slightly raised. Some larger ones have a 'crusty', dry appearance.

The spots do not particularly itch, and I have noticed no other unusual symptoms.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Not acne, I've suffered that before and these are very different. Possibly eczema or something?

Its hard to tell without seeing them but back and chest are places that its common to get acne. There are many remedies for this, Clinique make a chest and back spray for blemish prone skin. Your doctor could also offer you topical lotions or oral antibiotics. If they're not itchy they're probably not an allergy but if any other symptoms develop such as swelling or difficulty breathing seek medical help as allergies can be dangerous. Loiloi x
